How to cure a hangover

1. Stay hydrated

How to cure a hangover headache? Alcohol is a diuretic which means your body works harder to flush it out. This can lead to dehydration and a headache from hell. To stop this, grab a glass of water after every alcoholic drink, or, if there seems to be a lack of water jugs on your table (!), make sure you down a glass before you go to bed. Simple but effective.

Aguulp tip – the electrolytes in Aguulp for Recovery will help you hydrate twice as fast by replenishing everything you lost the night before. We like to recommend the “Belt and Braces” approach too. This means for OPTIMAL results, try taking one before drinking, after drinking and the following morning. You’ll be feeling like a new human.

2. Have a banana

Potassium is an essential mineral your body needs to function properly and you lose lots of it when you’re drinking due to dehydration. So, it’s a good idea to replace it. Bananas are a great choice for a quick boost!

3. Replace those B vits!

When you drink your body loses vital nutrients and vitamins. Remember to load up on vitamins before your night out to ensure you aren’t lacking in the morning.

Aguulp tip: Aside from the electrolytes it contains, Aguulp for Recovery also contains the whole B complex; Vitamins B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B7, B9, B12 along with Vitamin C which fights free radicals.

4. Slow down

We’re all guilty of downing a pint to catch up with our mates and we know it can feel odd to not constantly have a drink in hand while at the pub. However, slowing things down a little will give your body a chance to catch up, you might even have a cheaper night out!

5. Eat a breakfast of Champions

The thought of food might make your tummy turn the morning after a big night out, but it’s important to re-fuel the tank. A meal full of complex carbohydrates will ensure your blood sugar levels aren’t dipping and leaving you lethargic and slow.

Try cooking up eggs, salmon and avocado on wholegrain toast to give you all the healthy fats, B vitamins, essential amino acids and fibre you need ????
